Better, Faster, Stronger: 8 Passenger Vehicles
Unfortunately, most of the sport utility vehicles on the road have a passenger load capacity of no greater than seven, while 8 passenger vehicles may be necessary to meet the demands of a growing family. It is important to consider carefully what you will expect from your vehicle as many of the available models vary greatly in the features they offer.
While the better make and models offer more along the lines of features, options, and creature comforts, they typically come with a much higher price tag and worse fuel efficiency than their cheaper, less equipped counterparts do. This fact is much debated in the automotive industry. When it comes to 8 seaters, there are several new designs to consider including vans, crossovers, and SUV’s. Each version has a similar seating capacity, but that it typically where the similarities end.

In Some 8 Seater Cars, You Get What You Pay For
Among all vehicle makes, models, and editions, there will always be those brands and generations that are superior in some ways. When you compare 8 passenger vehicles, the first fact that becomes apparent is that this category is no different. The better vehicles are recognized and credited with their excellence by various professional review companies such as Car-and-Driver and Edmunds, and usually make it to some published version of a best 8 passenger vehicles list. The vehicles that receive the best overall reviews generally happen to be the most expensive. This is due to the advanced technology and added features that are included for the heftier price, such as:
• T.V.’s, gaming consoles, and multimedia players
• More space in the interior seating area and in the rear for added cargo or groceries
• Better mileage (sometimes the opposite is true also)
• Navigation system
• Bluetooth/iPod compatible
• Designated crumple zones for impact absorption
• Upgraded security system, OnStar Vehicle Recovery Locator/ Remote engine kill-switch
8 Passenger Cars Get Sport-Tuned
Even in times of massive global oil shortages, most Americans stand by their love for sports cars. The twenty-first century has ushered in the era of smooth lines, rounded edges, and prototype production vehicles. It is not surprising that even the proverbial soccer mom 8 passenger vehicle has gotten a recent makeover, mixing 8 passenger SUV’s with sedans to get 8 passenger crossovers.
These new hybrids are sometimes turbo-charged with sport-tuned suspensions for better performance and maneuverability. Unlike the sports car, the 8 passenger SUV and 8 passenger crossover can transport eight people, plus all of their luggage. When speed and sports car-like handling is not a priority, 8 passenger vans are available with the same reliability and comfort as earlier models.
Each manufacturer makes at least one, and sometimes two different models. Each model has its merits and its flaws, therefore, the make and model, whether hybrid or classic minivan, must be a decision based on the needs of the family, team, business, or otherwise. The popular saying that one gets what they pay for seems to be true more often than it is false; the more options you get, the more you can expect to pay.
The 8 passenger cars are bigger and heavier, consequently they will use more fuel, especially when loaded with eight passengers and cargo, but it can be used as an alternative to taking two cars. If the demands of the prospective owner call for the space provided by the one larger vehicle, the 8 passenger option is an economically sound choice.
